Objectives
The BCCC Marketing & Events Committee shall have the following objectives:
- to advise the Board of Directors and the executive officers of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (“BCCC”) in matters and activities related to issues affecting the business community involved in Brazil-Canada trade and investments. In order to do so, the committee has to be work with all levels of government.
- to mediate relationship between both Brazil and Canada as well as between both states’ governments, public and private sectors
- to ensure that the Chamber acts as an effective advocate for local businesses.
- to inform membership of issues that may have an impact on their businesses.
- to work with municipal government to provide business input on decisions facing City Council
- to be involved in community planning to help Canada attract business and employees from Brazil and vice-versa.
- to enhance the competitive positioning of local business by addressing the cost of doing business both in Canada and in Brazil
- to democratically develop policies and positions of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce for local issues;
Organization
- Chair: position to be held for 2 years. The Chair identifies and encourages concepts to better improve the well-being of relations between Brazil and Canada in the business sector. Can be re-elected.
- Vice-Chair: position to be held for 2 years. To support the Chair and take on a leadership role on the Chair’s behalf when required. Can be re-elected.
- BCCC – Administration: BCCC staff or volunteer to offer administrative support for the Committee to assist in advocating better business environment in Canada and Brazil
