The Brazil Canada Chamber of Commerce will host a seminar highly focused on the main infrastructure projects in Brazil with the confirmed presence of the Minister Henrique Meirelles, former president of Brazil´s Central Bank.
The Minister Henrique de Campos Meirelles is the President of the Brazilian Olympic Public Authority, an agency created by Brazil’s President Dilma Roussef – Interim Rule 503/2010- to manage the preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympic. This agency is responsible for coordinating the actions of the Union government, state and the municipality of Rio de Janeiro to host the Olympic Games and Paralympics Games in 2016. Mr. Meirelles is also a former Minister of President Lula’s government and former President of the Brazil`s Central Bank. Mr. Meirelles will be speaking about investment opportunities in Brazil: 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games.

The seminar will focus on the numerous upcoming infrastructure opportunities in Brazil. High profile events such as the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, coupled with strong domestic growth, have created an immediate need for the development of ports, airports, roads, railways, subways, power plants, stadiums, and tourist and entertainment facilities. The seminar will incorporate panel discussions by eminent persons with expertise in infrastructure policy and investments
