BCCC unveils innovation ecosystem trends

Toronto (November 29, 2022) – The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC), in partnership with Global Affairs Canada, is presenting the 7th BCCC Innovation, Science and Technology (IST) Forum on December 1st in Toronto, Ontario. The event will share trends in the IST ecosystem in Brazil and Canada. The IST Forum will be held at 2:00 PM (333 Bay Adelaide Street, suite 4600), in Toronto. Focusing on Canada International Innovation Program (CIIP), nanotechnology partnerships and the bilateral Startup sector, the event will bring successful cases, updates and discussions around IST in both countries. “The Forum will be the opportunity to show the intersection of innovation, science and technology with key areas that affect how we do business, nationally and internationally,” states Marcelo Sarkis, chair of the IST Committee at BCCC.

“Brazil and Canada can create even more synergy, collaborating to bring innovation to find solutions for global challenges. The Forum contributes to this dialogue, opening for discussion on how we can add value to the IST ecosystem. The two countries have multicultural and diverse environments, regional differences and innovative entrepreneurs that can significantly change our future”, emphasizes Raquel Boechat, co-chair of the IST Committee.

The Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) is a funding program that supports Canadian small or medium-sized enterprises to pursue international research and development (R&D) collaboration with a foreign partner, including our focus, Brazil, on projects that have the potential for commercialization.
