Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce Announces the Co-Chair of the BCCC Alberta Chapter

The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce – BCCC is pleased to announce the appointment of Igor Oliveira as the new Co-Chair of the BCCC Alberta Chapter. This strategic leadership addition marks a significant step in strengthening the Chamber’s mission to foster and enhance business relationships between Brazil and Canada.

Igor Oliveira has cultivated a distinguished career in auditing, spanning nearly 15 years. Igor’s expertise lies in auditing entities, mainly in the oil and gas and mining industries. Igor started his professional journey at KPMG Brazil, honing his skills and gaining invaluable experience auditing a diverse range of clients, from small start-ups to multinational corporations reporting under IFRS and USGAAP. His expertise includes but is not limited to planning and executing audits, reviewing financial statements, designing and testing internal controls and making presentations to Audit Committees. Igor holds both Brazilian and Canadian nationality. His unique background has contributed to his global perspective and understanding of diverse business environments, enhancing his auditing expertise.

Despite his professional commitments, Igor has always found time for community service and was involved in community initiatives, contributing his time and skills to make a positive impact. Igor has been mainly involved in causes related to newcomers to Canada, showcasing his commitment to making a difference.

In his new role, Igor Oliveira will work closely with Patricia Garcia Rosa, current Co-Chair of the BCCC Alberta Chapter, to drive the Chamber’s strategic goals, including expanding membership, enhancing networking opportunities, and advocating for policies that facilitate trade and investment between Brazil and Canada. He will also be instrumental in organizing events, workshops, and trade missions that provide valuable insights and connections for businesses in both countries.
