Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Four New Directors

Toronto, ON – May 20, 2025 – The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce – BCCC is pleased to announce four new appointments to its Board of Directors.

Based in Montreal and Ottawa, Daniel Caramori is a Canadian-Brazilian political scientist and business administrator with over 15 years of international experience in public policy, international development, and strategic partnerships. He currently serves as Vice President of Chamber Network Engagement at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, where he leads the strategic alignment of 400 chambers across the country, fostering coordinated advocacy and a unified national business voice. His background spans Brazil, the United States, Argentina, Canada, the Netherlands, Mongolia, and Russia, with experience in national and binational business associations, international development programs, start-ups, and youth leadership initiatives. His previous role at Mitacs and current leadership within the Chamber Network give him a distinct perspective on bilateral trade, innovation, and business diplomacy.

Gabriel de Lucca has already established himself as a mentor and visionary to the BCCC team. As a new member of our Board of Directors, his robust background in performance improvement across corporate and private equity clients brings a wealth of experience that will be instrumental in advancing the Chamber’s mission to strengthen bilateral economic ties between Brazil and Canada. Gabriel currently serves as a Director in the Transaction Advisory Group at Alvarez & Marsal, a global professional services firm known for its expertise in turnaround management and performance improvement. In this role, he specializes in advising clients on complex transactions, operational enhancements, and cost transformation. His strategic insights and analytical acumen have been pivotal in driving successful outcomes for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Long-time supporter of The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC), Michael Kennedy brings extensive experience in financial advisory and a deep understanding of emerging markets, further strengthening the Chamber’s mission to foster robust commercial relations between Brazil and Canada. Michael’s professional experience includes expanding international investment footprints and facilitating market entry into Latin America’. His experience working with retail and institutional investors in both Canada and Brazil provides him with a unique perspective on growing relations between Canada and Brazil. Currently, Michael serves as a Financial Advisor at CIBC, and is responsible for providing value-added Financial Advice to High-Net-worth clients. In addition to his role at CIBC, Kennedy is a Director of the Board at Global Startups Accelerator, supporting emerging technology companies in scaling their operations within Canada and has been a regular contributor to the BCCC Monthly Newsletter.

Based in Vancouver, BC, Salo Rapoport brings a wealth of experience in strategic advisory, business development, and innovation to further strengthen BCCC’s mission to foster commercial relations between Brazil and Canada. He currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Cescon Barrieu, one of Brazil’s leading law firms, where he oversees business intelligence, new business, marketing, and innovation initiatives. His extensive background includes leadership roles in cross-border business strategy, with a focus on facilitating international partnerships and supporting entrepreneurial ecosystems. Salo is Co-Chair of the BCCC Trade & Investment Committee (with Paola Saad) and has been an active leader in our webinars and events.

Established in 1973, the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and enhancing the commercial relationship between Brazil and Canada. We are delighted to have these excellent additions to our board.
