THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) is proud to continue its tradition of supporting academic excellence and fostering future leaders through the BCCC Scholarship 2024. This prestigious scholarship is awarded to outstanding students from our educational institution members, recognizing their dedication, talent, and contributions to the Brazilian-Canadian community.

ESSAY QUESTION
How has the relationship between Brazil and Canada impacted your personal, academic, or professional goals? Think about your experiences, knowledge, participation in different communities, associations (ie, BCCC) or clubs, and perspectives on how these two countries work together and how you see their partnership impacting global issues. Remember to consider diversity, inclusion, and global cooperation in the international trade community.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

The applicant must be enrolled in any academic part-time or full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programs available at one of the BCCC Education Members (Centennial College, Lambton College in Toronto, Seneca Polytechnic or Toronto Metropolitan University - TMU) in the 2024/2025 academic year.

The sole applicant MUST submit the essay by November 08th, 2024, at 5:00 PM (EDT) (See Essay Requirements)

The winner should be available in the first week of December 2024 to receive the award in person.

Before accessing the reward, the four selected students MUST provide proof of enrollment for the 2024/2025 academic year.
ESSAY REQUIREMENTS

Essay Topic:
”How has the relationship between Brazil and Canada influenced your personal, academic, or professional goals? Think about your experiences, knowledge, participation in different communities, associations (ie BCCC) or clubs, and perspectives on how these two countries work together and how you see their partnership impacting global issues. Remember to consider diversity, inclusion, and global cooperation in the international community.”

The essay MUST have a minimum of 500 and a maximum of 650 words

The essay MUST be written in English or Brazilian Portuguese

The essay MUST be signed with permission to use the winning name and images

One (1) student MUST have written the essay. Essays written by more than one applicant/student will be automatically disqualified.
SELECTION PROCESS

Ensure you provide proper citations for any data, facts, or quotes used in your essay.

Include a list of references or a bibliography to acknowledge your sources. Use the reference system of your choice.

Plagiarism will not be tolerated.

A panel of judges will evaluate the essays based on their creativity, clarity, originality, and depth of thought.

The decision of the BCCC Education Committee judging panel is final.

The winners will be notified by email between November 20th and November 27th, 2024.
