BCCC Innovation, Science, & Technology (IST) Forum 2017
The BCCC is proud to announce the 2nd Edition of the Brazil-Canada Innovation, Science, and Technology Forum to take place in Toronto on October 17th, 2017.
Brazil and Canada are witnessing a new moment in research and development (R&D) partnerships, shared technological innovations, and researcher exchanges. The establishment of a Joint Committee for cooperation on science, innovation and technology (IST) has reinforced the potential for further collaboration in innovation-intensive sectors and both industry and academia. Both countries have mutual interest in developing strategic areas such as nanotechnology, energy clean technology, and smart farming, among others.
This year’s theme will focus on ongoing collaborations and future opportunities in IST between Brazil and Canada, focusing on the thriving startup culture and academic partnerships. The Canadian innovation ecosystem is booming and has become a top destination for tech startups. At the same time, Brazil’s young population and talented workforce are technologically driven and increasingly interconnected. In its previous edition, the BCCC had over 100 attendees, including the Canadian Federal Minister of State for Science and Technology, the Honourable Gary Goodyear, as well as industry and academic representatives from Canada and Brazil.
For the 2nd edition in 2017, we anticipate a larger event with more opportunities for bilateral networking.
This will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the activities of the BCCC as well as to network with some of your peers and other executives interested in supporting business between Brazil and Canada.
Registration Fees:
BCCC Members & Partners: CAN$ 50.00 (Lunch Included)
Non Members: CAN$ 80.00 (Lunch Included)
