3rd Brazil-Canada Infrastructure Forum | The Brazilian Infrastructure Market
The Canadian Consulate in Sao Paulo and Trade Commissioner’s Office in partnership with ABDIB - Brazilian Association of Infrastructure and Basic Industries - have organised an Infrastructure Mission to Canada composed by the public and private executives, aiming to promote business and investment opportunities as well as connect the Brazilian & Canadian Infrastructure Sectors.
As part of the program, the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce is proud to have partnered with them in the seminar “The Brazilian Infrastructure Market – Trends, Opportunities & Challenges”, that will take place in Toronto on February 26th.
With a growing population of over 207 million inhabitants and the largest economy in South America and the 8th largest economy in the world, Brazil is announcing a wave of privatisations as the new government move to bring fiscal discipline to the country. Moreover, the current government seeks to promote structural reforms, such as pension, tax and economic liberalisation to make the state more business-friendly to investors.
The Brazilian economy presents an exceptional moment to the insertion of international players, with important compliance laws being implemented. The current infrastructure gap of investments in all segments of the Brazilian infrastructure market opens excellent opportunities for Canadian companies invest in Brazil and make partnerships with Brazilian corporations.
According to ABDIB, Brazil necessities of infrastructure investments for the next ten years are above USD 750 Billion. The first Brazil-Canada mission in infrastructure will showcase business and investment opportunities in the Brazilian infrastructure industry and will explain how Canadian investors can better take advantage of existing opportunities.
From the public sector, essential projects of PPPs, concessions and privatisations will be presented by the Brazilian Federal Government, the State of Piaui, the State of Sao Paulo and the Sao Paulo municipality. From the private sector, important Brazilian players such as Queiroz Galvao, Houer Concessions, AEGEA, AON and many others will be describing the business environment in the country according to the private sector perspective.
After the presentations, we will organise a networking luncheon followed by B2B meetings with the Brazilian Delegation.
We look forward to having your company involved in the Brazil-Canada Mission in infrastructure.
