Sohail Farooq is the Chief Executive Officer of BankingBook Analytics (BBA). Based on a vision of pushing the cutting edge of advanced analytics to guide transformations and boost the effectiveness of strategic decision making, Sohail founded BBA - BankingBook Analytics in 2018. Recognized as a customer-oriented, results-driven business leader, his focus is on the development of domain expertise and the growth of the firm. Throughout his 20+ year career, Sohail has worked to adapt technology for the development of finance, risk and treasury functions at financial services organizations. He is passionate about helping small to mid-sized financial institutions close the technology gap. Prior to founding BBA, Sohail led and managed Toronto-based Nexx Consultants - a specialist risk and capital management advisory firm. Before Nexx, Sohail worked as Principal with Oliver Wyman and Sr. Director with Moody's Analytics. Sohail holds a M.Sc. in Quantitative Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, and a M.B.A. in Finance from Dalhousie University.
David Gong is the Chief Operating Officer of BankingBook Analytics (BBA). David, in his 14+ year career, has covered a large scope of the Finance and Financial Technology industries within North America. Prior to joining BBA, David assisted clients by leading engagements in order to solve their financial services risk, regulatory and technology needs, both in the capacity of an independent consultancy, as well as being a part of EY. David started off his career in 2004 in New York, joining JPMorganChase before switching to roles at SunGard (Now FIS) and Openlink Financial, two large Financial Technology companies, in 2012. David holds a MMF in Mathematical Finance from the University of Toronto and a BCom in Economics & Finance from McGill University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Paola Saad is a dynamic international business development professional, with almost 20 years experience leading international trade missions and events. As president of Mandala Group, her International trade facilitation company, she has hosted international corporations, civic groups, foreign dignitaries and high-level government agencies around the world. A former director on the Board of the United Nations Association in Canada, Toronto Region; a board member and past president of Grupo Brasil, the Brazilian Association in Ontario; and past-president of the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (BCCC) and current Executive Committee member and Chair of the Trade & Investment Committee; as well as Chair of the Centennial College Program Advisory Committee for International Business (PAC) and Advisor at GiET Foundation; Paola is a recipient of "Brazilian Woman in Power", a joint award from the Canadian Federal Government & Ontario Provincial Government, and a ConCid Brazilian Citizenship Council award for contributions to the Brazilian Community in Toronto. Paola holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, UK; a Post-graduate Specialization in Public Relations from Ryerson University; and an Honors B.A. in Economics from the University of Toronto.
