Brazil-Canada Natural Gas Forum 2020 - Business and Investment Opportunities

Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade & Promotion Agency) in partnership with the Consulate General of Canada in Rio de Janeiro (Global Affairs Canada) and the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to attend the virtual event "Brazil-Canada Opportunities in the Natural Gas Market" aiming to bring together the Brazilian and Canadian natural gas industries, attract investments into Brazil and promote business development and partnerships between the two countries.

Brazilian and Canadian companies will share their views on the challenges and advantages of operating in Brazil, followed by a Q&A session.

The Brazilian Natural Gas market is opening up to private investment with the withdrawal of Petrobras, after decades of monopoly over gas transportation and strong dominance in distribution. At the same time, production is set to grow very substantially in the coming years and a whole new regulatory framework is to be implemented, thus paving the way to the entry of new players. According to analysts, investments in the Brazilian natural gas industry should reach over U$ 9 billion by 2030.
