Brazil-Canada Talks: How to Expand Your Business to Brazil with CanExport

The Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce would like to invite you to our next Brazil-Canada Talks: How to expand your business to Brazil with CanExport, that will take place on November 17^th at 3PM EST.

We invited Sara Hipson, Business Development Executive at Mentor Works and Jim Bensimon, President and Co-Founder at iRISE Media to share their experience helping Canadian SME’s to successfully access government funding to develop export opportunities for their products and services in Brazil.

The CanExport Grant allows companies to obtain up to 75% of eligible costs to a maximum of $75k in the form of government grants to perform marketing activities targeted at new markets outside of Canada (i.e. Brazil, U.S.A. Europe etc.). Pre-pandemic, this grant supported trade shows and travel-related expenses, however the program has pivoted to accommodate the current export marketing landscape and now covers online marketing activities targeted at new international markets, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and involvement in virtual trade shows.

The CanExport SME’s program was created to provide financial assistance to SME’s registered in Canada and is delivered by the Trade Commissioner Services (TCS) of Global Affairs Canada in partnership with National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP). The TCS has 5 offices in Brazil and can support Canadian companies to uncover opportunities, access market potential and help reduce business risks and costs.

With the COVID-19 pandemic and the temporary suspension of international trade missions and exploratory trips, this is a great opportunity to find out how the program works, who is eligible and how you can promote your brand in Brazil and access one of the largest consumer markets in the world.
